15% off Magicshine’s brand new V2 8000 use code CARL15 this one comes with a remote! (One reviewed is V1 without the remote) https://magicshine.com/products/monte... - £268 with code….they also cover any import tax or duty! I’ve personally received mine already. The two most powerful mountain bike lights on planet Earth go HEAD TO HEAD! I had tried to find a comparison of these amazing lights but it didn’t exist; so Paul and I decided to buy one each so we could test both! The Sixpack weighs 486 grams and the Magicshine weights 160 grams but has a separate battery pack which takes the overall weight above 500 grams. Paul who rode with me advised it didn’t make a difference to his riding and he certainly had ALOT of fun! The video was a spur of the moment thing and wasn’t planned, it’s designed more to be about how the lights perform ‘in reality’, we could talk lumens xyz but in this video you get to see for yourself which you prefer! When the Exposure Sixpack reflex+ mode (automatically adjusts power for up and downhill) kicks in, there’s not a great deal between the lights, judging by my thermal imaging scans With the Exposure you and also get fully automated lighting with a remote you can tune to both the main and head lights, this configuration is way more practical due to not needing to adjust anything, if the Magicshine had a remote then I’d probably go for that one. ……. Extra info about exposure: ‘Reflex automatically adjusts the light to provide boosted output when riding hard and fast then intuitively dimming for the slower sections such as climbs. This is all to optimise battery capacity, to provide extra light when needed and save it when not required. Reflex achieves this by using data from 3D digital accelerometers including gyroscope and thermistors. It continually analyses the data to make seamless adjustments to benefit the rider, probably better than the rider can. In reality it is a form of artificial intelligence. The selected run time will be achieved by averaging the output over the period.’ ……. The power does allow you to pick your lines better an standard Halfords lights etc really don’t compare! You can see I got my ass kicked on the Potato Alley because I couldn’t pick the right lines but I wasn’t on full power and didn’t have a remote to allow me to adjust. I’ve done this line in daylight and smashed it before although I did also have a big ride at Lee/Cragg Quarry earlier which also contributed to my arms dying a death potentially. The costs of the lights is obscene, but remember you will own the lights for years to come and we had one of the most fun rides ever in the dark of night with these crazy powerful lights! https://exposurelights.com/products/b... - £489 If you find this video useful, please drop a like/share and subscribe, I’ll look to try and make more in future.
