Despite the many problems of the manga and anime adaptation of the Girls' Frontline storyline, one of the best things it did do was create new commanders to help Griffin and Kryuger feel more alive. However many people seem to overlook how important these characters are to the adaptation's representation of the Commander, because Gentaine is not meant to be THE commander from the game. Instead the commander is split up into the many characters that make up the new commanders of Griffin and Kryuger PMC.
