Best Camera Drones for Beginners that still shoot pro quality video and photos compared 2026: DJI Neo 2 vs. DJI Mini 5 Pro vs. Skyrover S1 vs. Skyrover X1vs. Air 3S vs. Mini 4K vs Mavic 4 Pro vs. Mavic 3 Classic vs. DJI Inspire 2 vs. Link for the Cinematography & Editing drone course, includes the drone business/marketing course now too so they are just one thing. $100 Off because I love you I guess: https://courses.dronelaunchacademy.co... If you can't get the best thing do not stress about it, all drones I go over are still incredible to be able to get as "entry level." Even the Skyrover S1 is STILL an awesome drone. You can get all of these on Amazon. S1 has a 1/2" sensor and shoots 12mp photos but it is PLENTY to grow with. Or find a used Mini 4K on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, for like $200 or lower. DJI Neo 2 (2025) - $260 1/2 inch sensor. It CAN get great looking shots but usually doesn't. Terrible low-light and trouble in the wind, but those are only big issues. CRAZY fun little drone, perfect intro for new users. Flies from your hand without a remote, or with a phone. Can use remote to go farther. Follow me works VERY well, but batteries are only like 15 minutes so buy extras. Crazy value for the price Mini 4K (2020) - $250 (newest version of the Mini 2) 4K Video, RAW photos, no collision sensors but can live in your pocket. Get the Skyrover S1 instead. Mini 5 Pro (2025) - $760/$900 Get the $900 one, it is a billion times worth having a dedicated smart remote especially for so little extra. 1 in. sensor, 4K footage, vertical filming, 12 megapixel RAW photos, quietest body type, looks like a bug when its flying. By far the most fun to use, incredible connection. Footage often looks like it came from a bigger drone. Activetrack to follow you around if you care about that. I've got a video on this, 10/10 value. Air 3S (2023) - $1000 2 cameras on it which I actually use equally and didn’t expect that. 1 inch main sensor has improved low-light and exposure balancing is really great in this generation. 4K footage, 1 in. sensor, 12 megapixel photos. LOVE having the 2nd lens and sweet looking body, but Mini 5 Pro is just so convenient so its a tossup. Get Mavic 3 classic if pro quality is priority. Skyrover S1 (2025) - $270 4K 1/2 inch sensor, 12 megapixel photos. For some reason this one flies the best and least jerky/most natural by default out of all my drones. Really nice picture in the day NOT at night. Front/bottom collission sensors. Best drone for $270 price point by far, if QUALITY is focus. For FUN get a Neo 2. Skyrover X1 (2025) - $500 This drone put Skyrover on the map... because DJI already made it and Skyrover copy/pasted it. But there's nothing else in that price point so this is the best option. 1/1.3 in. sensor, 4K, rotating head, 12mp RAW photos. It is a pro drone, low light is better than Skyrover S1 by far. Mavic 4 Pro (2025) - $2300 4/3 inch Sensor, 6K footage, 20mp photos. 51m flight time. This is the Business Class plane ticket of drones, there is no going back after having this. Unbelievable dynamic range. UNREAL stability, default color, flight control, flexible rich data for color grading. I never use the 7x aside from fun, but 3x is a great length and useful… just don't prefer it over quality of the 6K wide camera. Anything I film on this drone looks better in the end than what I thought I was getting while shooting. King drones 10/10 Mavic 3 Pro (2025) - $2300 Same as Mavic 4 sensor size, but 5.1K so a bit lower resolution. On par with the Mavic 4 honestly but doesn't have the rotating head and older so like 2% lower quality. This is from 2021/22 and is still relevant if you can find one used. Mavic 3 Classic - $1250 Not typing all that again. Minus the Zoom lenses, everything else is the same. Crapping myself at the price being so cheap now. What a deal. Inspire 2 + X5S camera - $5000+ Used Shoots 6K RAW Video (literally filming in RAW photos) 5.2K 422 Prores and 4K Proress 4444 incase you know what that all means. Cinema formats, but such a pain to lug around and the noise is a lot. It's more like a once-in-a-while Ace in the hole to blow something out the water or shoot Stock Footage and practice cinematography. Interchangeable lenses are really nice too. I have other videos on making money, go watch those if you need. If you want the fastest way to get better footage, watch the Cinematography one, it is very necessary. #dji #djineo2 #djimini5pro #drone 00:00 hi 00:40 Beginner Drones 02:00 Photo/Video Drones 02:30 Drone Quality comparison 04:05 DJI Drones 06:40 Drones Tech Update 07:20 DJI Neo 2 shoutout 09:17 Used Drones 10:00 Collision Sensors 10:49 Noise Test 11:19 Cinematography 11:50 Mavic Best Drone 12:40 Sensor Chart comparison 13:57 Photography 14:30 Specs Need vs Don't 15:28 Follow Me 16:19 Make a Decision 17:25 Pro Drones 19:40 How to Improve
