Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw projected that India will sustain strong growth over the next five years, with real GDP expanding 6–8% and nominal growth reaching 10–13%. Speaking at a session during WEF 2026 in Davos, he highlighted government efforts to improve ease of doing business, including reducing telecom tower permission approval from 270 days to 7 days and enabling 89% of approvals instantly. Vaishnaw emphasized aligning bureaucracy with policy intent and improving industry communication on challenges, including data localisation standards.
