FOR SALE 1969 Columbia 36' with 2008 Yanmar 3GM30F Diesel Engine (~1100 hours) Moorage available at Stones Marina, Nanaimo, BC. Will transfer to new owner. Fully insured. Last survey completed in Feb 2026. Short Description: Beam 10’6” Length 36’ Draft 5'5" This boat is clean, well maintained, seaworthy, and legal to sail and/or motor to Alaska or Mexico. No projects required. Dragonfly is a dearly loved and well-cared-for friend that we simply cannot spend as much as time with as we would like to, since becoming parents of a toddler. After multiple seasons of too little use, we are finally ready to let her go and see her bring joy to others - as she has done for us. Like her diligent owners before us (some of whom we know personally), we have continued to update and maintain Dragonfly’s systems, engine, plumbing, electrical, interior, exterior finishing, hull, and overall seaworthiness to maintain and enhance her value during the years that we’ve owned her. Thanks to her desirable vintage (pre-oil crisis), Dragonfly is an incredibly sturdy boat with a very thick fiberglass hull sails in both rough and calm waters very comfortably. She sails at all points superbly and maintains a very close haul when desired, making her the perfect vessel for tacking up and down the narrow inland passages of coastal BC. Her engine was replaced in 2008 and has been maintained according to Yanmar’s recommendations ever since, making her engine very reliable on days when sailing is simply not possible.
