4K Aerial Film of the Inistrynich Peninsula on the shores of Loch Awe in Argyll, Scotland taken in August of 2023. This peninsula was once known as the Isle of the Blackthorn and was the residence of the chiefs of Clan Arthur. There is evidence of a monastery and a crannog lies close to shore in the bay to the south. It is an important historical location for Clan Arthur. Footage also shows Inishail, the island burial ground of Clan Arthur that was once occupied by Saint Columba’s monks and later became a site of pilgrimage on the route to Iona. In the distance, you can see the ruins of Fraoch Eilean Castle and Tiricladich (Traigh Cladich) the current Chief Seat of Clan Arthur.
