Andrea Artusi (Ugo Tognazzi) notes the ease with which a woman can cheat on her husband. Andrea begins to suspect that his wife, Maria Grazia (Claudia Cardinale), is unfaithful to her. The doubt quickly turns into a true obsession, when his friend (Gian Maria Volonté) shows him a ticket that has been put on his wife's car, near a dating hotel. This leads him to behave in a foolish way with his wife, who is actually being faithful to him. Andrea goes so far as to force her to reveal the name of her alleged lover. Furious, Andrea goes out to look for her lover and ends up having a car accident. Armando Trovaioli was an Italian musician with some 200 works as a composer and conductor.
