Here's a tenor sax you don't see every day. Made by the legendary Buescher band instrument company, this is a great American-made tenor from the early 1920s. Physically, it's in great shape considering its 100 years old. There are no major dents or resolders, and the bottom bow has never seen major trauma. The neck screw broke somewhere along its journey and it has a newer one in place. The horn obviously is almost 100% lacquer-free, but the neck and some areas around the bell still have faint remnants. The neck seems to be very solid. There are a few little dings (if you look close enough), and my tech says it hasn't been pulled down. Speaking of which, I just got it back from my tech. All the pads are sealing great, the neck tenon was re-fitted, and it is ready for many more years of playing. The sound of this tenor is nice and big, with lots of core sound. It's not too bright, but with the right mouthpiece, you could probably push it hard. The action is smooth, but 100-year-old keys aren't the most ergonomic (after a few minutes you get used to it). Overall, it's a solid horn and ideal for someone who loves old horns, needs a backup, or wants a solid horn on a budget. Check out the playtest! It demonstrates the cool trill keys that are functional (Trill G to G# and D to Eb). Make me an offer, I won't decline reasonable ones! Reverb Link: https://reverb.com/item/39465994-bues...
