For years, the JetBoil Flash has reigned supreme as the top all-in-one backpacking stove. But with the MSR Windburner and Primus Lite Plus garnering plenty of accolades, I thought it was time to put these three stove systems through a side-by-side test to determine the winner once and for all. I timed how long it took each to boil two cups of water, and then did the same thing again with a 10 mph wind blowing each stove. I also measured the fuel canisters to see which one was the most efficient at heating up water in adverse conditions. Here are the results: Windless Environment Boil Times JetBoil Flash: 2 min, 26 sec MSR Windburner: 2 min, 11 sec Primus Lite+: 4 min, 4 sec 10 MPH Wind Boil Times JetBoil Flash: 5 min, 58 sec MSR Windburner: 2 min, 40 sec Primus Lite+: 13 min, 20 sec Fuel Used JetBoil Flash: .5 ounces MSR Windburner: .3 ounces Primus Lite+: .7 ounces Chapters: 0:00 Intro 1:00 Setting Up the Test 1:57 Testing the Jet Boil Flash 3:49 Testing the MSR Windburner 5:56 Testing the Primus Lite+ 7:55 Weighing the Stoves 9:13 Final Thoughts Gear We Used and Tested in This Video Jet Boil Flash: https://bit.ly/3ZarbMc MSR Windburner: https://bit.ly/4f0GL2I Primus Lite+: https://bit.ly/4ifnSMt Shark Flexbreeze camping fan: https://bit.ly/3VlgXax BT 100 Windmeter: https://bit.ly/3Zgp3CM Read the full story here: https://www.outdoorlife.com/gear/back...
