I put the shower scene at #1 is for a bunch of reasons. Here are a few. 1. Because for over 40 years it's been the most memorable and most talked about death ever in a horror film. 2. Because without this death scene there wouldn't be half of the death scenes that there are in horror movies. 3. This death is the BIG death scene that really started true horror.
