The Abyss Watchers are an early boss from Dark Souls 3 and probably the first chronological instance of the Morgott Effect in souls bosses - where a boss that could've been one of the best ever is let down by being too easy/having too low HP, like Midra and Morgott after him. I've never been too big of a fan of the Abyss Watchers because of this, but they are undoubtedly a good boss and quite iconic, and recreating their boss fight was quite fun. 00:00 Intro 00:44 Encounters 06:31 Monster of the Abyss 09:08 Battle in the Wolf's Blood 12:20 Finale 14:12 Stats and Ending The Knight's Greatsword in this build bears a striking resemblance to the Farron Greatsword wielded by the Watchers, and Spinning Slash resembles the Farron Greatsword's infamous weapon art. The Milady is used for the Wing Stance, which emulates the Legion Etiquette gesture, and its attacks also match the more agile attacks of the Abyss Watchers where just the greatsword would not. The backhand blade is the back-handed dagger they wield, and the Fire Knight's Greatsword is used for the ash of war and impressive look of its attacks when buffed with Messmerflame, like the Watchers' second phase, as well as its hefty sweeping attacks. The weapons in this build were deliberately uninfused and unoptimised so the other Abyss Watcher and I could attack each other more freely, and the stats are over leveled slightly so I can fast roll like the Watchers without needing the physick tear. You could make this build at 150 without much issue. This build was also made in an underground treasure room in some ruins in the western area of the Weeping Peninsula - I was going to do it in the Abyssal Woods to be thematic, but couldn't find a good area.
