I gave myself a four hour window to make a track that I would eventually want to release and I truly believe I could be of help for DJ's who want to make their own tracks. Basic tracks to rock dancefloors. Not trying to make hits to make money. That all comes in time and yet in most cases the time has come & gone. Rave Culture from its original origins began on a holiday in Ibiza almost 40 years ago. 40 years ago House, Techno, Electro, Miami Bass & Freestyle was Dance Music. Not defined by genre. Disco died and from 1980 on it was all Dance Music. Rave & Club Music would be Techno & House. I don't do Tech House. The first & most important thing in your demo is something to latch onto. So go on YouTube and search for DISCO ACAPELLAS - Blondie "Heart Of Glass". Popped up. Perfect. "Once I had a love and it was a gas, soon turned out had a heart of glass". Sample it loop it detune it. There is your hook. I like repetitive loops cause I'm Neurodivergent but that is how folks will remember your track. Now you need to go 130 bpm and make a basic House beat using a 909 template. You can put a loop or two over that but make it funky. I'm now looking for something aggressive. Hard Techno of some sort and blending it all together. Detune & filter the vocal so Debbie Harry doesn't come for the sample. Figure out where to drop - on this demo I'm four hours in. No arrangement whatsoever. I have 16 tracks up. But this demo is amazing. Piano sounds are cheesy but I made it work.....
