The Guiding Principles of the Manifesto – project-based insights and inspiration On 30 June 2020, the second Forum webinar was held to introduce heritage professionals and interested members of the public from across Europe to the Manifesto developed by members of the Medieval Europe Research Community. This complemented the first Scottish-oriented event from 25 June by providing European perspectives on strengthening appreciation of the cultural resources embodied in medieval archaeology. Contributors provided short presentations based on international case studies to illustrate why medieval archaeology matters beyond the field of archaeology, and how the strengths of medieval archaeology can contribute to shaping a better post-pandemic world. These presentations were followed by a short Q&A session, which will be summarised and put on our website.
