This video is a long overdue response to those asking how I sharpen my hawks/axes. This is intended for new to the hobby types that may not have all the equipment long time blade owners tend to have. Keep in mind this videos intent is to show the tools I used when I started it is not meant to be the end all in how to sharpen blades. This video is third in a three part series I intend to do demonstrating to new owners of hawks/axes how to set up there new blades for field use in a budget minded way. Part two will show stripping the factory finish off and prepping for decoration and new finish application. Video three will show how you can use common items to re-edge, sharpen and polish the blades, all the while keeping a budget conscious approach.
