Whilst it's not officially a sequel to Chase HQ, it's obvious that Ray Tracers is heavily influenced by it and could be regarded, in many respects, as being a spiritual sequel. Both games are made by Taito and are arcade racers where you have to chase down and bash vehicles off the road. The arcade version of Chase HQ here is being emulated on MAME and Ray Tracers for the PS1 is being emulated on ePSXe (which I've set to actually enhance the graphics quite significantly) I'm using the USA version of Ray Tracers here, but the Euro (and Japanese) version are actually even more similar to Chase HQ, with some additional voice-overs that are superimposed over the gameplay (complete with a little profile picture of the character talking). The opening dialogue from the dispatcher is especially Nancy-esque as the character states, "We've got an emergency here!". Also your playable character shouts stuff out when you engage the Nitro much like Raymond Broady (AKA your cool African American partner who did all the talking). I would've included some video of that version, but I was playing terribly today, so I decided to instead use a previous gameplay video I'd made of the US ISO where I managed to get to the final level on a single continue (I needed to use quite a few more continues once I actually got to the final boss mind - I've edited out those failed attempts).
