Join us as we explore the breathtaking village of Rocamadour, perched on a cliff in there heart of Southwestern France. Famous for its rich history, stunning medieval architecture, and spiritual significance., Rocamadour has been a pilgrimage site for centuries. Andy and I walk through the tiny streets, climb the 260 steps to the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary and take in the panoramic views from the ramparts above. Don't worry if you're not a walker there is a lift system from the car parks below right to the top of the village. The little train costs 7 euros from the carparks at the bottom to the centre of the town. We had our border terrier with us and he was allowed in the cafes and restaurants where we ate. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello we are Andy and Julie we have taken a year (or maybe more) sabbatical from work to travel at home and abroad.
