Speaker: Melinda McCrary, Executive Director, Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum // The Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum collects and features the fascinating history of the City of Vallejo and the U.S. Navy at Mare Island. The Museum presents exhibits and programs that explore and celebrate the diverse cultural traditions of the community. Melinda earned a BA from University of Illinois-Chicago and MAs from both San Francisco State University and University of Kansas. She is also an adjunct professor in anthropology at Contra Costa College and the mother of two school-age children. Hailing from the Chicago area, Melinda comes from a military family with distinguished service records dating back to the Civil War. Melinda is proud to interpret maritime and military history in the Bay Area and California.
