This was added by mistake. Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) on its own is not very abrasive and even used in commercial toothpastes. The point that was somehow deleted, was that mixing baking soda with other abrasive and acidic ingredients (like salt, vinegar and charcoal) can harm your teeth (not to mention it will not taste good!). If you enjoy baking soda, there are many ADA approved toothpastes with baking soda available to buy. And as always, please consult your dental professional!
