FIFA 12 Tutorials - The LB Power Free Kick

The LB Free Kick is most effective from 30 to 38 yards but can be used from almost every possible yardage. On FIFA 12 the LB Free Kick can be struck in two fashions, either up and over the wall or around the wall. At ggfifa.com we have found that the later is the more consistent and deadlier option. Curving the ball around the wall is much more effective for placing the ball on target which in turn leads to more goals. When attempting the LB Free Kick you want to strive for 3 bars of power. This will keep the ball low enough to the ground and will also allow you to put ample amount of curve on the ball as well. From closer yardages 2 1/2 bars of power will suffice. This will keep the ball low to the ground and also put more curve on the ball since the ball is struck with less power. More curve is required from closer yardages because the ball has less distance to curve around the wall and into the open side of the net. When curving the ball around the wall to the near post you want to line up the far man on the wall (the man you want to curve the ball around) up with the goalie. This will leave you plenty of room to work the ball around the wall and put the ball into the back of the net. Before attempting the LB Free Kick in game we would suggest you to hone your skills in arena mode. This will allow to practice aiming and the timing of the amount of power. Controls: While powering up (hold B to shoot on 360, CIRCLE on PS3), push the left stick up and either left or right (depending on the direction you want the ball to curve).
