The Edtech Files - AtTechEdu News - Episode 1 - Tetris Wall - Copy and Paste IT Skills with Grade 1 Episode 1 of the AtTechEdu News (The Edtech Files) focuses on a lesson that I ran with Grade 1. The focus of this lesson was on the Copy and Paste skill using Cmd C and Cmd V. I was also looking at the students trackpad skills. I used Google Classroom to distribute a Google Slides Presentation. In this presentation I created a slide for each of the students which had 5 tetris game pieces on it. The object of the exercise was for the students to build a Tetris wall using Cmd C and Cmd V. They also needed to show their skills with moving pieces around the screen and spinning the objects. For those students that needed the extra challenge, they needed to change the colour of the tetris piece using the 2 finger gesture for secondary menu or holding down Ctrl key and clicking. Then choosing the Image Options and then changing the colour. As a plenary the presentation was shown on the projector and discussed with the students.
