machining wheel hub adapters on the Triac. out of a billet of 7075 aluminium. this is probably as big a job as can be done with such a small machine. here im using a tungsten carbide, high helix 45 degree endmill from Kennametal, this cutter is specifically designed for machining aluminium. its cutting at 1mm depth of cut 50% stepover at 4000rpm and 525mm/m feedrate ( ramping down contour ) . cycle time: 2hrs 18mins a piece. my vice was too small for the job so i had to machine gripping flats on the underside of the part so my vice could hold it. this is why it seems like its just sat on top of the vice. CAD/CAM software used is Bobcad cam v28
