War Thunder Basic Training: Mastering the F4U Corsair

Hiya folks, pilots, beginners, and even the experts. Welcome back to War Thunder, today i'm going to be teaching you how to fly the superb F4U-1A at Br 2.7( Battle Rating 2.7 for those newcomers just joining us). Don't let it's barrel shaped design fool you, this is one of the best planes for aerial dogfighting you'll find. If you fly it right. Today we're gonna go over: Side climbing (this is usually the reason you keep dying) Ammunition belts (which to use and why?) Target selection and identification Battlefield awareness Booming and Zooming (it's not a spitfire!) This video also touches on the basics of American aircraft in general. These planes are masters of ENERGY RETENTION, not dancing like a ballerina, so most of all make sure you're not on the deck, and you've always got altitude. This is vital because American aircraft are slow to generate energy, and fast to loose it, especially in a turn. The most important thing for beginners is patience when it comes to American aircraft, patience and self control. In general, American planes like the F4U corsair, P-51 Mustang or F6F are the fastest and the toughest aircraft in war thunder, so if you're in a jam, drop a gear and disappear! Use the tactics I show you, and you should be able to conquer any airborne advisory, or at least, give them a run for their money!
