Manila Hotel, City of Manila October 7, 2024 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and visiting South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol grace the Philippines-Republic of Korea Business Forum at the Manila Hotel on October 7, 2024. Organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), together with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Forum provides an opportunity for the Philippines to inform the South Korean business sector on the Administration’s economic development plans and programs, investment opportunities and other policy reforms accelerated to improve the country’s business environment. Apart from the keynote messages of President Marcos Jr. and President Yoon Suk Yeol, the Forum features three (3) sessions in a panel discussion with the theme, ‘Expanding Economic Cooperation between the Philippines and Korea.’ Session 1 tackles ‘Philippines-Korea Cooperation in Core Industries’, Session 2 discusses the ‘Potential of the Philippine Energy Industry and the Competitiveness of Korean Companies’, and Session 3 centers on ‘Building a Future Together through the Philippines-Korea Free Trade Agreement’. A Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) shall also be presented by DTI Acting Secretary Ma.
