After dancing our faces off at a Subtronics show in Las Vegas the night before, Mike and I took a roadtrip, traveling straight to Zion the next morning. We set our sights on the 1/2 Route (5.10+) at the iconic Namaste Wall, and it ended up being one of the most unique and memorable rock climbs I’ve ever done. This video is raw GoPro POV footage from start to finish—no music, no edits—all my beta, and the sounds of birds chirping in the background. Namaste Wall is not only visually stunning, but insanely peaceful. It’s tucked away in Zion’s Kolob Canyons, and the silence up there is almost surreal. I recommend it as a top 10 things to see in Zion National Park. The route is long, but the movement is super doable and really fun. I especially loved the built-in rests—sitting inside one of the massive hueco caves halfway up, just letting my arms reset while hanging in this carved-out pocket of stone, was such a special moment. It gave me time to breathe, look around, and fully appreciate where I was. The rock here is like nowhere else I’ve climbed. I’m completely obsessed with this crag and already planning a trip back.
