On the route, he peels a boiled egg and drinks hot tea for a short rest before driving the herd back and locking the gate. Later, chilled meat and a fish are lifted from a snow pit, thawed with hot water, mixed with spices and set on a rack to dry, while mushroom fish soup boils and meat chunks roast over charcoal. Dinner is carried indoors: a close-up shows the child lifting fish meat out of the soup, the woman knits to close the day, and a solar panel is finally tied onto the roof and angled to the sun.
