The CS80 creates two sounds at the same time, by using 16 voice cards for eight voice polyphony. The two sounds are mixed into a mono signal. This signal can be modulated by the internal chorus/tremolo-effect, which creates a wider pseudo stereo sound. But… With a simple circuit modification, the mixing amp (and the ring modulator) can be bypassed. Without any changes in panel-design, the modification can be switched on and off. Now, the sounds from panel one and panel two go directly to different outputs. Turn up the volume and have fun!
