Many Voices to Tell a Story: A Walking Tour of Berlin Jazz - Corina Kwami at TEDxGoodenoughCollege

Ms Kwami is a jazz, soul and funk performer and aspiring social epidemiologist. After finishing her degree at Georgetown University, Corina worked and performed in Switzerland and Germany. She has also launched an initiative, "Jazz, Swing & Funk Walking Tours Berlin" which provides interactive, historic tours of jazz in Berlin in order to promote dialogue on culture and performance in an urban setting. The tour includes visits to sites in several of Berlin's neighborhoods where jazz, swing and funk have developed alongside historical milestones with surprise performances at each site. She is currently a degree candidate at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
