It is a subtle and effective form of energy work which is guided spiritually through its practitioner who channels life force energy and transmits it, all that in a purely holistic way. A soothing energy flows from the practitioner to the client, offering a possible relaxation thanks to a releasing of tension. The session can be done at a distance or in person, can be done live or have been pre-recorded, and can help with past, present, and future subjects. Reiki can provide support on all levels (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually), whichever subject is addressed. It can never harm, only help to reach a deeper state of relaxation, toward healing, alignment, balance, wholeness, harmony, and peace. Physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual releases may occur, which could bring dormant issues up to the surface and awaken them into our consciousness in order for them to be addressed, healed, and let go of. If this happens to you, be compassionate toward yourself and listen to your inner guidance to know how to proceed in order to take care of yourself. Never hesitate to ask for help if you need it. It is also possible to not sense anything in particular in the moment, and to then feel the effects unfold later on, progressively or suddenly. We do not have to know the root causes of our problems in order for the Reiki to work, as the energy is intelligent and therefore knows exactly what to do and where to direct itself, where it is most needed to go to in order to best help us.
