Hello :) This is the requested transcription I did of the Meatloaf song "Paradise by the Dashboard Light'". From his 1977 album "Bat out of Hell". Kasim Sulton was the bass player on this track. This transcription can be found at https://www.muzento.com under Advanced - Learning Songs. On the surface, this looks like an intermediate song, but the tempos, length of the song and endurance and focus required to get through the whole song make it an advanced song. In my opinion :) This is a rock/swing song. If any of you have ever played in a big band or done some musical theater, this is very much a swing/show tune with a rock overtones. I found it really difficult to clearly hear the bass, and it was hard to decide where he was doubling up and pumping the 8th notes. I found that if I played too many 8th notes, it felt like I was competing with the drummer, and it was also exhausting ;) It started to feel better when I used more quarter notes and more space. This makes for a good read and nice little work out. Pack a lunch :) I hope you like it.
