Hiking North Schell Peak 11,883 ft. | Beautiful Hike in Nevada

North Schell Peak is located in eastern Nevada near Ely in the Schell Creek Mountain Range. North Schell Peak stands tall at 11,883 feet making it the highest mountain in the High Schell Wilderness and the ninth tallest in the state. And if you like stats, it is also the fifth most prominent mountain in the state of Nevada. Hiking to the top of North Schell Peak was a wonderful day hike. We started in the aspen among lush green valleys. As we climbed above the tree line, we gained wider views as we went up and up. You'll notice the rocky conditions of the mountainside. We made it up to the top of a ridge and the views went from good to great! And we could also see that we still had a ways to go. Finally, we made it to the summit! From there, we could see amazing views in every direction. We ate our picnic, took in the views and signed the peak registry before making the descent. Exploring Nevada has been an incredible experience and it has really opened our eyes to the adventure to be found throughout the entire state.
