A photography tutorial which describes how to use the Flash Exposure Bracketing (FEB) feature of the new Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT. The tutorial video shows test shots which demonstrate the effect of using this handy feature in your strobist photography. The Flash Exposure Compensation feature of the Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT allows photographers to adjust the light output of their flash to suit the surrounding conditions. When combined with the Flash Exposure Bracketing feature, photographers are able to quickly take a series of three photos on your camera with varying amounts of Flash Exposure Compensation, increasing their chances of getting a great shot with the appropriate amount of illumination. Flash Exposure Bracketing is a useful feature for any professional or serious photographer. The tutorial shows how to change the FEB settings on the LCD menu of the Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT itself. It also provides examples of photos taken at the various settings of the flash exposure compensation, so you can see what difference it makes to your photography. By looking at the photos is is obvious that by changing the flash exposure compensation, it is easy to change the amount of light power produced by the Speedlite flash unit. This is the Future of Speedliting. It was announced on 2 March 2012, at the same time as the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera. It replaces the Canon 580EX II as Canon's flagship Speedlite. (It is rumoured that there will be a Canon Speedlite 440EX-RT flashgun coming out with Radio Triggering later this year - 2012). It is designed to partner with the ST-E3-RT Speedlite Transmitter, which is fitted onto the hotshot of your Canon DSLR Camera. Radio triggering means that you don't need "line of sight" when using a flash in your photography. A real win for strobist photographers.
