Enron is one of the most corrupt companies in the history of the United States. Before its collapse in 2001, the company was a darling of wall street. Its earning grew quarter after quarter like clockwork, perfectly...too perfectly. Eventually the public and the government caught on and the entire company collapsed almost instantly. Thousands of people lost their jobs, and the company was liquidated. This short summary doesn’t do the company’s collapse justice, so in the future I’ll make an entire episode on the company. For today’s video, we’re going to be checking out what Enron’s former headquarters looks like in 2020, just shy of 20 years since the company’s famous collapse. The company’s former headquarters is at 1400 Smith Street in Houston Texas. I recently had the opportunity to visit the location, and its really just a strange site. You would never know what used to be there. There are no remnants, so unless you know what you are looking at, its like Enron never existed.
