So I remember telling the nurse 'you gonna have to fix the machine and test me again, let's re-schedule it, I'll come back tomorrow', so I was in sort of in denial I guess. I decided to go with the canaloplasty after comparing it with trabeculectomy, and sort of reading, reading up on the very side effects that could occur from the safer method and it just appear to me that the recovery would be better with the canaloplasty. And just to me it just seem like simpler, safer approach. Based on my experience, I would suggest to someone who does have glaucoma that to sort of to be open to a procedure like canaloplasty. For me, the good thing with that is that I felt that the risk factor was low. It was a comfortable procedure to go through recovery was fairly quick and easy. After going through canaloplasty procedure and going through the brief recovery period, I was happy to see that I was able to just continue the eye drops in my left eye, the eye that was operated on, and surprisingly, my left eye actually started testing better than my right eye. The pressure in my left eye has started reading lower, whereas prior to the procedure my left eye was always the worse eye. So, it's great to see that without the eye drops the pressure was lower.
