MPS Digital Photography presents a talk with Brooklyn-based photographer, writer, and archival researcher, Sarah Stacke. Through projects created in dialogue with communities, Stacke shares stories about relationships to the land and its histories to excavate under-considered pasts and better understand the present. Her work appears in Harper’s Magazine, The Nation, NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and National Geographic. She holds an MA from Duke University and is pursuing an MFA in Image Text at Cornell University. Stacke is the author of four photo books. Starting in 2011 and after over 250 lectures, the i3: Images, Ideas, Inspiration Lecture series continues to feature leading photographers, artists, editors, gallerists, and industry experts. The spring 2026 i3 Lecture season is curated and hosted by MPS Digital Photography faculty member Julie Grahame. Most past lectures are available on YouTube and Vimeo.
