This was my first flight in a Diamond DA40 after flying a Cessna for the past couple of years. Although I already have my rating in this type of aircraft, the place where I rent requires a checkout for this airplane. The checkout consists of some ground school lessons on the DA40, as well as flight training (maneuvers, emergency procedures, takeoffs/landings, and such).
