Series 40 spading machines can be equipped with a new rear hitch designed to allow quick coupling of any implement used typically for seedbed preparation (rotary harrows, rotary tillers, rotopins, pulverizers). The system comprises a category III three-point hitch, a hydraulic lift operated from the driving position, and a power take-off. With this new hitch, the machine can be used to advantage in tandem with the new N14 rotary harrow, a combination able to produce a seedbed of optimum quality, whatever the type and condition of the soil. With single pass preparation, fuel consumption is much reduced, and compaction of the tilled soil avoided.
