Long Time Coming (Track 19 of 24) - The previous song on the album "Shine On Me" represented an addict/alcoholic having a spiritual awakening and finding their higher power. This song is basically another representation of that where the lyrics "it's been a long time since I've been running and I got to know you're coming too" is the addict/alcoholic in recovery talking to their higher power. ALBUM DESCRIPTION: “Ready, Reset, Go” is an album that tells the story of addiction and recovery through the eyes of an addict/alcoholic. The album begins with a melancholic vibe to represent being stuck in active addiction after a relapse. It gradually becomes more peaceful as the album progresses to represent the slow journey of finding peace within yourself after putting down the substances. The album ends with an uplifting/happy vibe to represent discovering how to love yourself, and finally finding true happiness in sobriety after a long and painful journey (hence the last song being named “No Rain, No Flowers”). There’s a lot of vocal samples that discuss love throughout the album; the ones in the beginning of the album represent an active addict/alcoholic talking to their substances, the ones in the middle are a newly sober addict/alcoholic in recovery talking to their higher power (of their understanding), and the ones at the end are talking to the love of their life that they found after long term sobriety. There’s also 24 songs to represent having to stay sober for only 24 hours at a time. SIDE NOTE: Sorry if the audio isn't perfectly lined up with the video. I want to and will always be my authentic self. . . . ABOUT VINTAGE B: Brandon Iles (Vintage B) began producing in 2019. Before he could apply what he learned in mixing/mastering into actual music, he took a hiatus due to his addiction to drugs/alcohol. With many failed attempts at rehab, he decided to use producing as an outlet to maintain his sobriety (while in sober living). With just a MacBook and $20 headphones, Brandon produced hundreds of songs over the years (many of which are on his first 4 albums) purely by flipping (non-AI) samples. It was here that he discovered his chill nostalgic sound inspired by 90s rap, lofi beats, and old soul, hoping to give his listeners a peaceful journey back to the good ole days. He decides to only upload his music to YouTube since AI bots on social media and streaming platforms took the love away, and each song has behind the scenes to prove it's not AI slop. Brandon doesn't consider himself a musician, but rather a producer that can paint a nostalgic picture using hundreds of colors created by talented musicians.
