Please note: The Apex is a mechanical device and may benefit from occasional maintenance. This approach is a bit old school but then so am I...we like to take care of our stuff. One may go for YEARS without doing this. The WD40 is used as a cleaner only. Not a lube. You can skip the WD40 altogether. The grease is applied only in non coffee contact areas of the mechanism but if you have food safe lube all’s the better. Sorry for any negative interpretations on this....just trying to be helpful.
