Your logo should reflect the essence of the identity of your company, as the core of your branding efforts. But does that mean that to accomplish this effect, you need to employ a talented designer? Not fortunately. Thanks to the array of DIY online logo makers available, such as the favorite of small corporations, Wix Logo Creator, making a logo has become even more affordable to small business owners these days. Being able using your own money to build your little gem does not mean that you can go completely experimental. You need to bear in mind there are a few basic, but important design rules. This is why we met Liron Gispan, a Wix designer who is about to drop some (very, very useful) experience of logo design. He shared some basic tweaks that can be made to their production by anyone and that would certainly make a huge difference. Here are the guidelines to follow to make a decent logo, from the unwritten rules of using printed fonts to matching your name and tagline: Explore notional icons An symbol in logo design is a simplistic visual that captures the brand's essence. A common misunderstanding is that an illustration of what your product or service is should simply be your symbol. Although this can help others, for all firms, it doesn't have to be the case. More conceptual (or even abstract) symbols may be explored to emphasize what the business does. For some inspiration, search through different ideas for logo design. Or think Nike, for instance. The famous "swoosh" button evokes the sensation of pace and movement. Quite fitting for a line of sportswear. Think of the icon rather than an image as a sign. It has to be incredibly visual and readily noticeable. The value of a more graphic symbol is that more symbolic weight will also be borne by it. Ideally, even after one brief look, the symbol should be clear enough that consumers will remember it. Using the room that you have An symbol is clearly not appropriate for most corporations to convey their brand name fully. This is why the choice of adding your name and tagline is offered by Wix Logo Creator. Sometimes referred to as a slogan, taglines are dramatic words that sum up a brand's sound and premise. Not all corporation has a tagline today. And that's all right, but that doesn't mean that you can let this precious room go to waste. You should split it up into two lines if your name allows it, while maintaining the same font and scale on both lines.
