Macon County residents say synthetic drugs are taking a toll on the young people in their community. Former users are stepping forward saying they've seen their peers get paranoid, have seizures, and hallucinations using products like Bizarro and K2 to get high. The sheriff and his deputies say the drugs can cause dangerous and bizarre behavior. The sheriff's office is hosting a meeting with concerned residents Friday afternoon when they'll have a chance to tell Senator Jim Davis their concerns. They want to see a bill passed statewide, outlawing the sale of synthetic drugs. Stores selling herbal incense and bath salts in Macon County had no comment.
