Gaels from the O'Neill county took a remarkable journey back in time at the Cardinal Ó Fiaich Library and Archive in Armagh on Wednesday October 12. Thanks to film footage privately recorded by the late Vincent Daly from Coalisland, members of Tyrone's 1947 and 1948 All Ireland winning teams were able to see themselves both in match action and at a training session. They were also shown footage of a game between Tyrone and Antrim in 1929 which is now the oldest-known video of a Gaelic game in Ulster. Gaelic Games Archive Officer Donal McAnallen explains the significance of the find, while Minor captain Eddie Devlin and team-mates Liam Campbell and Barney Eastwood give their reaction to viewing the old film.
