Teaching through Repertoire is a series practice tracks where I perform your part with the orchestra recording in the background. The purpose is to give guidance to anyone learning a piece at home so that they are ready for their first rehearsals. Rehearsals are where you get to learn everyone else’s part as well as match articulation, work on balance and create characters - not learn your notes. You’ll hear me count, subdivide and talk through the piece as I’m playing. When you start a new piece, it’s best to practice slowly. Thanks to YouTube, you can slow down this recording to help you practice accurately and carefully as you figure out all of the notes and rhythms.
