In this video I am very happy to present an answer to a question about A song of Ice and Fire that has bothered me for years. Why did Illyrio give Daenerys dragon eggs as a wedding gift if his plan was to support Young Griff AKA Aegon Targaryen the entire time? Thanks to some wonderful content by a couple youtubers I am a fan of I think I have found the clues I needed to piece this mystery together. Finally I can stop wondering if this is a plot hole and realize it was actually a super genius sneaky plan by Varys and Illyrio. Because of course it was. And they would have gotten away with it but Dany was way too cool for that and she made it all backfire right in their Blackfyre faces.
