Special Education Law: I was Asked about Project 2025 and the Concerns about Future of Special Ed

This video was recorded for Facebook Ask a Special Education Attorney Page in October and prior to the election. In this video I explain the realities of the Federal Department of Education and that the IDEA is a Civil Rights Act passed by Congress and not a Bureaucratic creation of the Department of Education. As such, regardless of what happens to the Federal Department of Education, the IDEA and Section 504 will remain intact, along with funding and the compliance duties of OSEP. It would simply change in where it does it's job from....just like OCR oversees 504 from regional centers around the country. I'm not concerned about the future of the IDEA under another Trump Administration.
