P!NK & International Women's Day SUMMER CARNIVAL 2024 Aotearoa/Nz THIS ONES FOR MY G!RLS We have the conversation - yes, celebrating International women is more than shiny celebs - of course. Yet here I was, in town, with thousands of mamas & daughters, fathers & sons too - singing & screaming for more of this realized human being before us. Sequins & thigh boots, there she is swooping over delighted crowds - calling in more ticket sales than any woman in this stadium has ever done. Owning herself in a market dominated by illusion, for the entertainment of the masses. Yet - here I am. Loving it all. We are so much more than our public facade - we share aspiration to connect, to receive messages that belong to us all here & now. So a grand scale gesture such as this can well be acknowledged. How many of us had dreams to fly? How many achieve this? The buzz is celebrating one another's achievements as we rejoice in our own - quietly or head banging right up at the speaker - That rush, that transformation of dreams to reality, can help us shine, and in turn spend every other day of the year addressing the less shiny moments, and we all know what they look like.
