Tale of Two Brothers - Legends from the era of Total War: Pharaoh

Our Total War: Pharaoh history series takes a detour into culture. This was a story written in the years right around 1200 BCE, and thus is the sort of story being told and heard by the characters in the game. Some have speculated that this is an historical allegory for the political rivalry between Amenmesse and Seti the 2nd, though to be honest I don't actually think this is the case, I think this is a more usual sort of myth, meant for entertainment and incidentally carrying a mix of universal human themes and fascinating cultural baggage. Anyway, I like to read ancient stories because they are fun, but also because they shed light on what people were like in the ancient world at various times and places, sort of serving as a bridge or link between then and now. Let me know in the comments if you want more legends and wider cultural stuff, or if I should stick to kings and war stuff.
