Cinema Paradiso: My visit to Palazzo Adriano

I was probably in my 20's when I first watched Cinema Paradiso. Since then, this has been my favorite movie. I can relate to it's theme in many ways.  Like Toto, I'm from a small, but beautiful town in the center of an island.  I also had to leave my town, my family and my people  to seek my dreams .  Cinema Paradiso is a celebration of life, friendship and love. This movie has been so special for me that I have always wanted to visit Palazzo Adriano (Sicily,Italy), the town where the movie was filmed. After many years, my dream came true!!!  The Cinema Paradiso Museum was impressive.  The staff from the municipality were very gentle and helpful. I also had the opportunity to meet the residents of this beautiful town. It was a long trip from Texas, USA and the adventure of renting a car in Palermo to drive to Palazzo Adriano was really a challenge, but a wonderful experience that it will always be in my heart.
