Please submit your question via this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FA... Please join the CSIS Project on Prosperity and Development, in partnership with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), for a discussion on procurement in support of localization and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Leading procurement executives from national and multilateral development agencies will share their experience putting “development spend” to best use to increase development results, support local capabilities, and guarantee the greatest impact. The panel will feature Anne-Claire Howard, Director of the Procurement Group at UNOPS. Government procurement amounts to $11 trillion per year worldwide, around 13 percent of global GDP. Sustainable approaches to public procurement therefore present a significant long-term economic opportunity for businesses of all sizes and the chance to drive progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Against the backdrop of constrained global public finances, sustainable and strategic public procurement can help maximize impact, alleviate fiscal constraints, and promote efficient use of resources. CSIS will host a networking reception for sustainable development practitioners following the conclusion of the panel discussion. If you plan to attend the reception only, please fill out the same registration form as for the panel discussion. This event was made possible through the generous support of UNOPS. --------------------------------------------- A nonpartisan institution, CSIS is the top national security think tank in the world.
