Driven by the Kewanee Fire Chief, Stephen Welgat, and pushed by members of the Kewanee Fire Department, firegighters Alex Brunson, Andrew Welgat, Fire Chief Stephen Welgat, Jake Forney, Shawn Frank, Greg Rusk, and City Manager Gary Bradley. Seated in front is Jake Forney’s son, Dean. The brand new fire truck was pushed into its new home bay. This tradition dates back to the days when fire trucks were pulled by horses and the truck had to be manually pushed into the truck bay.
