The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation is re-releasing its "Looking Back to Look Forward" report with updated recommendations in the evolving landscape of federal K-12 education policy. The original report provides a comprehensive review of what the best available quantitative evidence tells us about the impact of federally driven, test-based accountability. As the federal government expands school choice and decreases the federal role in education, state education agencies and local districts have a greater role to play in ensuring the maintenance of quality, comparable data on student achievement used to drive meaningful school improvement. This webinar highlights the need for leadership and a discussion from the business community on why accountability is matters for our future workforce.
